I am very excited to announce that I have been selected as one of the 95 runners to get a Team ULTRA bib for the New York Marathon in November! This is going to be a dream come true to be one of the 50,000 participants that will run the New York Marathon in the fall.
This year Michelob ULTRA teamed up with Keep America Beautiful which is a nonprofit organization that aims to inspire and educate people to take action to improve and beautify their community environments. They asked everyone interested in getting one of the 95 bibs to take a picture of themselves plogging, a fitness trend that first originated in Sweden which combines jogging and picking up litter.

pieces of trash and left @cityofsantaclarita’s trails better than when I started my run 🙌🏻#globalrunningday and multi-tasked by #plogging which means I picked up several piece of trash and left @cityofsantaclarita’s trails better then when I started my run 🙌🏻#TeamULTRA #Contest
New York Marathon is the largest marathon in the world and also one of the hardest Marathon to get into, the qualifying time that I would need to get into New York marathon is 15 minutes faster than the time I need to qualify the Boston Marathon! NY Marathon is also one of the 6 Abbott World Marathon Majors which also includes Boston, Chicago, London, Berlin & Tokyo.
It is a little bit of bummer that the NY Marathon happens the same day as Santa Clarita Marathon which I have such great memories including finishing both my first half & full marathon.
